Dog & Cat Licenses

If you reside with the Town of Callicoon and own a dog or a cat, the Town of Callicoon states the dog or cat must be licensed.  To obtain a dog or cat license, proof of rabies is required.  If the dog or cat is spayed or neutered, proof of spaying or neutering is required.  The cost for a spayed/neutered dog is $6.00 per year. Cost for spayed/neutered cat is $3.00 per year. 

For an unspayed/unneutered dog is $14.00, cat is $5.00 per year.

If your dog is lost or you find a lost dog, please contact the Dog Control Officer (above).   It is the Dog Control Officer’s responsibility to pick up lost and stray dogs and humanely care for them until they can be reunited with their owners.  You can also contact the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department at 845-794-7100.
